Every verdict starts from label data as stated by the manufacturer, across more than five million products — then each ingredient is qualified individually, rather than trusting a front-of-pack claim.
When we are not sure
You get "caution", and the reason
An unknown is never rounded down to safe. If an ingredient is ambiguous, the formulation has changed, or a cross-contamination risk is plausible, we say caution and tell you which ingredient caused it.
